Mountain Biking in Glentress

Last Sunday we went mountain biking in Glentress... it's an amazing place, and the lads had a great time trying out new tricks n skills.

Some of the lads played on the freeride park and skills loop, while some others went off and did the blue route and bits of the red route... that's the second hardest route there! Well done guys... Check out the video of some of the madness!

A great day was had by all... what an exciting and fun way to keep fit and enjoy life outdoors!

We're still looking for someone to be our Scout Leader... if you know of anyone interested, get them to email us, or check out our volunteering to help section for more info.

First Troop Night...

Our first night was a success - all things considered!

It was nice to see many of the lads we'd just lost from Cubs rejoining our Group as Scouts, and it was also nice to welcome a new member to our Troop too.

We played a few new games, and our parent helpers Gary & Gerry ran two "Mission Impossible" challenges... the lads did very well to defuse the bomb, and two of the lads made over 50 seconds on the brick!

The lads heard about our plan to attend Glentress Forest for a day of Mountain Biking on Sunday 8th June, and they were all up for it... more details to follow soon.

In particular, we'd like to welcome some of our ex-cubs back to the 4th Glasgow Group, and in addition, we'd like to welcome lads from 86th/191st Glasgow to join as well.

Our first meeting will be held in our

Please bring £1.50, your necker (if you've been a Cub or Scout before), and a parent or guardian (because they need to fill in some paperwork!).
